Precast production line commissioned for Middle East housing project

A KZ-PC150 precast production line supplied to a housing project in the Middle East has passed its performance test and entered series production.

The line reached its rated 8 to 10 minute station cycle within eleven days of cold commissioning, and the client’s mould inventory now covers the 19 element types in the first phase of the programme. Six of the client’s operators have completed training on line control, mould handling and routine maintenance.

## Commissioning notes

The most useful thing we learned on this job was about power quality. The local 380 V / 60 Hz supply carries frequent short voltage dips, which were tripping the hydraulic power packs. We added under-voltage and phase-failure protection to the panels, and the nuisance trips stopped.

If you are specifying equipment for a site with an unstable supply, tell us in the enquiry. It is far cheaper to build that protection into the panel than to retrofit it after installation.
