A 50 t/h sorting and processing line that turns demolition arisings into recycled aggregate for sub-base work, diverting material from landfill.
The operator was paying landfill charges on mixed demolition waste while simultaneously buying virgin aggregate for sub-base. The incoming waste stream also carried a high proportion of rebar, which was jamming the existing crusher.
We sized the line from a three-week waste characterisation study, then configured screening, overband magnetic separation and air separation ahead of the crusher. The recycled aggregate gradation was tuned to the local sub-base specification so the output has a market.

Environmental Protection
Three pulse-jet collectors and local capture hoods installed at the crusher discharge, screening deck and conveyor transfer points to bring the site inside local emission limits.
